Driving

The driving calendar of events at the Carolina Horse Park continues to expand with combined driving and pleasure driving events. Combined driving is not unlike eventing in that it occurs in three phases and is designed to test the stamina, courage and versatility of horse and driver. Pleasure driving is akin to horse showing in that it is conducted in the show ring, often with antique carriages. Competitors are judged on driver capability, performance of the horse or pony and overall turnout. Driving competitions of all types are wonderful spectator sports.
